Users installation manual
For the installation of all our mobile phone amplifiers.
Huaptec Hiboost boosters are an efficient solution to improve poor mobile signal. But before you can take full advantage of the system, you need to install it properly.
The installation procedure is carried out in 4 simple steps. You strongly recommend to follow the instructions in the manual. If there are any problems and you are still not clear and you have questions, please do not hesitate to contact us during business hours on 085-201 78 83.
Installation at home or in the office
You have received a ready-made kit with the amplifier, 2 cables and 2 antennas. Make sure you have all the necessary components.
Please note that images may differ
Step 1. Install an outdoor antenna
1 . Choose a good place to install the Yagi, Panel Antenna other antenna.
Normally you choose the highest point of your property to receive a good signal. The roof of your home or business premises usually complies.
You can basically place the antenna wherever you receive a good signal with your phone. This must be at least 2-3 Bars.
Consider a loss of 10 to 10 meters of cable. The advice is therefore not to cover greater distances. If this is necessary consider to use a higher quality cable.
We have our high quality cable made ourselves because our cables only have a loss of 1 in 50 meters. Don’t forget if you choose to order the Connectors of the type F Connector. (smb) (click here for mobile phone amplifiers 5D-FB cable)
The image above shows how best to find the right location for your outdoor antenna.
The idea is that you place the antenna where it comes closest to the telecom provider’s cell tower from the premises. This also prevents the internal transmission signal from interfering with the external transmission signal. (crosses these signals can lead to loss of signal strength).
Install the outdoor antenna.
Attach the outdoor antenna to the chosen place where there is a good reception of the signal.
The best way to do this is to download the app signal supervisor!
There are two possible types of installation – pole and wall mounting.
If you choose to mount the exterior antenna on the roof, you need to attach the antenna to the pole with an L-bracket and screws. Follow the post assembly schedule on the next sheet side.
NOTE: The required mast diameter becomes φ40 ~ φ50 (mm)
To perform wall mounting, place the antenna directly on the wall with an L-bracket and screws. Find the example below wall assembly:
Wrap waterproof tape around the connectors between an outdoor antenna and the cables to prevent water or other forms of damage.
Step 2. Install the indoor antenna
The inside antenna is usually placed in the center of your home/office to provide global coverage.
For and Hi13 models:
Connect the indoor antenna to the corresponding connector on the booster and tighten tightly.
For Hi17, Hi20 and Hi23 models:
- Choose a room where there is no strong signal to receive and attach the indoor antenna.
- Place it on the wall or in the corner as follows:
The distance between the indoor and outer antennas must be 5-10 meters. If this space between the antennas cannot be reached, make sure that a barrier (e.g. a wall) to increase the insulation and to prevent self-oscillation.
Step 3. Install the Signal Booster
- Select a location near an outlet. Hi13 booster models with swipe antenna can be placed near the power supply. The booster of Hi17, 20 and 23 models is usually mounted on the wall in the room with an inner panel antenna as shown in the image below:
- Connect the outer antenna to the booster connector marked “Outside”. Turn the connection on by hand.
- Connect the indoor antenna cables to booster connector marked as “indoor”. Turn the connection on by hand.
Step 4. Start Up the Booster
- Connect the signal amplifier with the power cord AND plug it into the socket.
Do not connect the amplifier to the power supply until you have connected the antennas correctly.
- If the alarm flashes LED green or orange, this means that the signal amplifier is working properly.
After the amplifiers are turned on, it will automatically adjust the best performance with intelligent automatic strength control function. So no manual operation is required. Check the cover.
If it’s okay, congratulations! The installation has been successfully completed!
The amplifier must meet safety requirements for communication equipment. Ensure good grounding and lightning protection.
The power voltage of the amplifier must comply with the safety standards. Each action may only be carried out in advance after disconnection of the power supply.
If you do not open the amplifier, touch the module of the amplifier or open the valve of the module where the electronic components are located and touch these components, the components may be damaged by electrostatic charge or discharge.
Keep the amplifier away from heating equipment, because the amplifier itself drains heat when it is on. This may affect the amplifier. A room without heating is therefore advisable.
